Training

Regular training is essential for a good performance.  Jane Boyland is our Head Coach/U12 coach, Sophie Garton is our U14/U16 coach and we have Jess Read  and Georgina Guy as our level 1 coaches.

We train Thursday nights 6pm – 7pm  term time only rain or shine.

The club expects players to make all training sessions except in cases of illness, family emergency or work.  We do understand that sometimes that is not practical, if you cannot make training please let Andrea McCall know who deals with all administration.

Training fees are £11 per month Sept - Jul inclusive.

Clothing etc

Please wear appropriate clothing ie. shorts, leggings  or netball skirts and a t-shirt. A waterproof coat if wet. Trainers are very important – ‘trendy’ trainers are not a good investment for netball and can lead to injury. All trainers must also be laced tightly enough so that they won’t come off during training.  No jewellery should be worn, long hair should be tied back and nails kept short to avoid injury to others, please also bring plenty to drink.

In the event of an injury requiring specialist treatment, call the emergency services.

Deal with the rest of the group and ensure that they are adequately supervised.

Do not move someone with major injuries. Wait for the emergency medics.
